Aleksandar Adamovic has over 20 years’ experience working in the financial markets. After conducting his studies in economics and psychology at universities in the US and Sweden, Aleksandar started his career as an equity and derivatives trader at Svenska Handelsbanken in Stockholm, where he later became deputy head of the Trading Department. Aleksandar went on to join the Trading Desk at Merrill Lynch, and the Proprietary Derivatives Trading at HSBC, both based in London. After having his first child he moved back from London to Stockholm and joined Carnegie Investment Bank, becoming the youngest Head of Trading ever. At Carnegie Aleksandar developed a global Trading Desk with his team. Trading was conducted in various assets and strategies. Among many strategies the department traded: cash, options, futures, FX, algorithmic, arbitrage and proprietary trading. Having moved abroad after almost 10 years in Stockholm, Aleksandar joined Cantor Fitzgerald in London working with Global Market Intelligence, a product aimed at Hedge Funds and Proprietary Desks. Most recently he worked as Head of Trading at SSE Capital, a NY based hedge fund. Aleksandar has also worked with developing Trading and Risk Management tools for portfolio managers and traders, covering mostly the psychology of the trader and p/l management. He also worked as an advisor for several firms when it comes to options and volatility related questions. Aleksandar lives with his wife and 3 children. His passion when not watching the screens is surfing and spending time with his family.
